10 Troubleshooting

1 Check the flexure (10) for deformations and damage.
2 Check that it is positioned securely on the spin shaft (12) and that it is held in place with the inner flexure
fastener (9).
3 Check whether the outer flexure fastener (8) is securely attached.
The flexure (10) must be replaced if it is damaged.
4 Remove the spin shaft (12).
5 Hold the spin shaft (12) with a 19 mm wrench or a scratch-resistant screw clamp.
6 Use a 12 mm wrench to loosen and remove the inner flexure fastener (9).
7 Mount the new flexure (10) and tighten the inner flexure fastener (9) to 3 Nm.
8 Slot the spin shaft (12) back into the torch.
9 Gently rotate the spin shaft (12) between the fingers and tighten the inner flexure fastener (9) slightly
with the flexure mounting tool until the flexure (10) is positioned correctly, while tightening the outer
flexure fastener (8) at the same time.

1 Gently take hold of the fastener of the contact tip (6) and rotate it around its axis. If the flexure (10)
rotates, the fastener needs to be tightened.
2 Remove the tip adaptor extension (7).
3 Remove the external flexure fastener (8) using the flexure mounting tool.
4 Detach the spin shaft (12) from the cam (2) and slide it out at the front end of the torch.
5 Hold the spin shaft (12) with a 19 mm wrench or a scratch-resistant screw clamp.
6 Use a 12 mm wrench to tighten the inner flexure fastener (9) to 3 Nm.
7 Slot the spin shaft (12) back into the torch.
8 Gently rotate the spin shaft (12) between the fingers and tighten the inner flexure fastener (9) slightly
with the flexure mounting tool until the flexure (10) is positioned correctly, while tightening the outer
flexure fastener (8) at the same time.
10 Troubleshooting
