Fault
Welding porosity

Motor is not rotating

Cause
• Gas flow incorrect
• No shielding gas
• Gas flow too low
• Gas hose damaged
• O-rings are worn, damaged or missing
• Connectors loose
• Torch's central connector not sitting
correctly in the wire feeder
• Gas flow limiter on the wire feeder is
restricting the flow rate
• No power supply
• Safety switch was triggered
• Internal parts have failed

• Nozzle blocked

• Rotation delay has stopped working
• Mechanical fault
• Additional devices (torch guide, robot)
not connected correctly
• Control cable not securely connected to
the control device
• Faulty electrical connection
• Motor failure

Troubleshooting
• Adjust the gas flow volume
• Secure the gas supply
• Check the hose for leakage
• Check that the regulator and
flow meter are working
correctly
• Check the gas flow
• Check that the pressure reducer
and flow meter are working
correctly
• Repair or replace the line/hose
• Replace o-rings on the torch
body, cap and power stud

• Tighten the cap on the torch
body, power stud and hose
connections
• Insert the central connector
again and check the o-rings
• Remove the gas flow limiter
• Plug in the power cable and
check for damage
• Reset the safety switch on the
control device
If it is triggered again, consult
your specialist dealer or the
manufacturer
• Consult your specialist dealer or
the manufacturer
• Clean the gas nozzle and
replace it if necessary

• Check the rotation delay setting
• Look for obstructions. Consult

• Check whether the control and
trigger leads are attached
correctly and whether the mode
switch is set to REMOTE.

control lead on the control
device
