Charging the Battery
The battery is equipped with temperature monitoring
that allows charging only in the temperature range be-
tween 0 °C and 45 °C. In this manner, a high battery
service life is achieved.
The battery is delivered with a partial charge. Before
using the power tool for the first time, fully charge the
battery. Independent of the charged state, the lithium
ion battery can be charged at anytime without short-
ening its service life (no memory effect). Interrupting
the charging procedure will not cause damage to the
battery.
The lithium-ion battery is protected against deep dis-
charging when used in the power tool. When the bat-
tery is discharged, the power tool is switched off by a
protective circuit and the tool no longer operates.
Do not continue to press the on/off switch after
an automatic switch off of the power tool. The
battery can be damaged.

Removing the Battery
The battery 13 has two locking steps that prevent the
battery from falling out when the battery unlocking but-
ton 8 is unintentionally pressed. When the rechargea-
ble battery is inserted into the tool, it is held in place by
a spring.
To remove the rechargeable battery 13:
– Push the battery toward the rear of the power tool
(1.) and, at the same time, press the unlocking but-
ton 8 (2.).
– Pull the battery away from the power tool until a red
stripe is visible (3.).
– Press the unlocking button 8 again and pull the bat-
tery completely out of the base of the power tool.
