ment head rests against the surface to be drilled. Do
not slide the guide tube 25 any further over the tele-
scope tube 23 than necessary so that as large a part
as possible of the scale on the telescope tube 23 re-
mains visible.
Retighten the winged screw 24. Loosen the clamping
screw 21 on the depth stop of the dust extraction at-
tachment.
Slide the depth stop 22 on the telescope tube 23 such
that the distance t shown in the Figure
sponds to the desired drilling depth (distance between
the outer end of the guide tube 25 and the inner side
of the depth stop 22).
Retighten the clamping screw 21 in this position.
Putting into Operation
Inserting the Battery
Use only original BTI lithium-ion batteries with
the voltage given on the nameplate of the power
tool.
Place the right/left switch 4 in the middle position to
protect the power tool from being unintentionally
switched on. Slide the charged battery 13 from the
front into the foot of the power tool. Press the battery
13 completely into the foot until the red stripe can no
longer be seen.
Set the Operating Mode
With the operating mode selector switch 7, select the
operating mode of the machine.
Change the operating mode only when the ma-
chine is switched off! Otherwise, the machine can
be damaged.
To change the operating mode, press the locking but-
ton 6 and turn the operating mode selector switch 7 to
the desired position until it can be heard to latch.

Setting the Direction of Rotation (see Fig.
With the right/left rotation switch 4, the rotational di-
rection of the machine can be changed.
Change the direction of rotation only when the
machine is switched off! Otherwise, the machine
can be damaged.

Press the right/left switch 4 to the right to the stop.
Always set the direction of rotation for hammer drilling,
drilling and chiselling to right rotation.
Switching On/Off
To switch on the machine, press the on/off switch 5.
When the machine is switched on for the first time, a
starting delay can occur since the electronics of the
machine must first configure itself.
To switch off the machine, release the on/off switch 5.
Speed Regulation
By increasing or decreasing the pressure on the on/off
switch 5, the speed of the switched-on machine can
be continuously regulated.
Reduced speed of the machine facilitates the starting
of holes (e.g., on smooth surfaces such as tiles), pre-
vents the slipping of the drill and the splintering of the
drilled hole.
Recommended Speed Ranges:
– High speed for hammer drilling in concrete or stone
as well as for chiselling
– Medium speed for drilling in steel and wood
– Low speed for driving screws and cutting threads.
Working Instructions
Chiselling
The SDS-plus tool can be turned in the tool holder to
various positions to achieve an optimum and low-fa-
tigue working position.
Turn the operating mode selection switch 7 to position
(Vario-Lock). Then turn the tool in the tool holder to
the desired position.
For chiselling, turn the operating mode selection
switch 7 to position
Set the direction of rotation for chiselling to right rota-
tion.
