Cleaning and maintenance

WARNING!
Make sure that NO liquids get into the
machine or electronic parts, as this may
damage the product.
Remove the cord before cleaning or
maintaining the treadmill. Maintenance
should only be performed by authorised
service technicians, unless otherwise
indicated by the manufacturer. Failure
to comply with these instructions will
automatically void the warranty.
Do not expose to high humidity or direct
sunlight.
Cleaning
Regular cleaning will increase the treadmill's
service life.
Dust the treadmill regularly Make sure to
clean the free edges on each side of the
treadmill and the edges of the frame. This
prevents dust and dirt building up under
the treadmill. Use clean shoes. The top of the
treadmill can be cleaned with a well-wrung
cloth and a small quantity of washing-up
liquid. Do not allow water to get into the
treadmill frame or onto the underside of the
treadmill.
WARNING!
Always unplug the treadmill before removing
the cover over the motor. Remove the cover
from over the motor and vacuum the motor
once a year.
The treadmill's interior and the plate it runs
on are lubricated from the factory and
require minimal maintenance. The friction
between the treadmill and the plate it runs
on is very important for the treadmill's
function and should therefore be lubricated
regularly. We recommend inspecting the
treadmill regularly.
64
We recommend the following lubrication
intervals:
Light use (less than 3 hours per week):
every 12 months
Medium use (3-5 hours per week):
every 6 months
Heavy use (more than 5 hours per week):
every 3 months

Adjusting the motor belt

If the treadmill occasionally fails to move
while you are running, this is probably
because the motor belt is loose and needs
adjusting.
Remedy
Step 1: Open the cover over the motor. Allow
the treadmill to run at its lowest speed.
Step 2: Stand on the treadmill and let it move
you backwards while you hold on to the
handles and try to press the treadmill hard
down towards the plate.
Step 3: If the treadmill does not stop running
round as you do this, either the treadmill
or the motor belt needs adjusting. They are
correctly set.
If the treadmill stops when you step hard on
it, but the front roller continues, the treadmill
needs adjusting (see Adjusting the treadmill).
If both the treadmill and the front roller
stops, adjust the motor belt.
