Rohrverschraubungen für die Gewindelöcher G 1/4 bzw.
1/4-18 NPT sind montageseitig beizustellen. Bei dop-
peltwirkenden Antrieben ist der Anschluß OUT 2 mit der
Kammer des Stellantriebes zu verbinden, deren Stell-
richtung bei einfachwirkenden Antrieben die Federrück-
stellung übernimmt.
Die Höhe des Zuluftdruckes ist auf den Stelldruck im
Stellantrieb abzustimmen, der für die Aufbringung der
Stellkraft benötigt wird. Die Werte 1,4 und 6 bar sind die
Grenzwerte des Stellungsreglers. Es sollten Vorkehrun-
gen getroffen werden, die sicherstellen, daß auch im
Störfall der Zuluftdruck nicht über den maximal zulässi-
gen Grenzwert des Stellungsreglers bzw. des Stellan-
triebes ansteigt.

Der Betrieb des Stellungsreglers darf nur
mit öl-, wasser- und staubfreier Instrumen-
tenluft erfolgen. Die Reinheit und der Ölge-
halt sollten die Forderungen entsprechend
Klasse 3 nach DIN/ISO 8573-1 erfüllen. Der
Drucktaupunkt sollte 10 K unterhalb der Be-
triebstemperatur liegen.
Vor dem Anschließen der Luftleitungen un-
bedingt Staub, Späne bzw. andere Schmutz-
partikel durch Ausblasen entfernen.
Zur Anzeige des Zuluftdruckes und des Stelldruckes
steht ein Manometerblock zur Verfügung. Der Manome-
terblock wird, wenn bestellt, lose mitgeliefert und muß im
Rahmen der Inbetriebnahme montiert werden. Die Mon-
tage erfolgt auf der rechten Seite mittels 2 Schrauben,
die zum Lieferumfang gehören (siehe Bild 14).

G 1/4 or 1/4-18 NPT, respectively, have to be supplied
by the customer. In case of double-acting actuators, the
connection OUT 2 has to be connected to the actuator
chamber the actuation direction of which would be per-
formed by the return spring in case of single-acting actu-
ators.
The amount of supply pressure has to be matched to the
working pressure necessary for the actuation. The val-
ues 1.4 and 6 bar are the limit values of the positioner.
We strongly recommend measures to assure that even
in case of malfunctions the supply pressure does not
exceed the max. admissible value of the positioner or
the actuator, respectively.

The positioner must only be operated with
instrument air that is free of oil, water and
dust. The purity and the oil content should
meet the requirements according to class 3
as to DIN/ISO 8573-1. The pressure dew
point should be 10 K below the operating
temperature.
Before connecting the air pipes, it is abso-
lutely necessary to remove dust, splinters
and other particles by blowing them out.
A pressure gauge block for the indication of the supply
pressure and the output pressure is available. The pres-
sure gauge block will be delivered, if ordered, as an indi-
vidual
item
and
must
commissioning process. It must be mounted on the right
side of the positioner with two screws which are part of
the delivery (see Figure 14).
