V - USE
Important:
- Do not disconnect the handpiece from the
cord while the machine is plugged in and the
footswitch is pressed.
- For your safety and that of your patient, the
device must not be used with accessories
other than those supplied by SATELEC.
- For correct tip vibration the tip must be
correctly screwed in, and not forced past its
stop point. To avoid tip self-blockage, it must
always be removed after use.
- If it is screwed too far, the tip or handpiece
can fracture.
- Check the integrity of the device and its
accessories before and after each use in order
to detect any problem.
- If necessary, replace all faulty parts.
- Always remove the irrigation tank from the
device before filling it.
The device is operated in the following manner:
- Check that the device is plugged in and
insulated correctly.
- Check there is no trace of damp in the
handpiece connection, otherwise dry it (wipe it
and blow on it with the multifunction syringe).
- Install the required tip on the handpiece.
- Tighten it carefully with the wrench to ensure
optimum operation of the ultrasound.
- Plug the handpiece into the handpiece cord.
- Gently operate the spray: operation should be
at minimum power (level 1) and with pressure
being applied to the footswitch.
- Adjust to the desired power (according to the
colour and no.) using the control button. Refer
to the T B
to find out the power settings for
IP OOK
SATELEC tips.

Caution: do not rotate the handpiece during
installation of the tip if the handpiece is already
connected to the cord.
Important:
- Do not disconnect the cord handpiece when
power to the device is switched on and the
footswitch depressed.
- Correct vibration of a tip depends on correct
tightening which should not be forced beyond
its stop point. In addition, to avoid self-locking,
the tip should be removed after each use.
- Over-tightening the tip may lead to either it or
the handpiece breaking.
- At the end of the working day:
• the water supply should be switched off;
• the device should be switched off (OI):
• the mains plug should be unplugged.
VI - MAINTENANCE AND
STERILIZATION
Important:
The device must be switched OFF for cleaning/
disinfection.
To maintain the sterility or asepsis of the
accessories (handpiece, tips, etc.), store them
in sealed pouches or leak-proof containers
suitable for medical practice.
The handpiece cord is not sterilizable.
