Riving knife
The riving knife (21) prevents the work-
piece from being caught by the rising
teeth of the saw blade and being thrown
against the operator.
Always have riving knife installed during
operation. It must be set to its uppermost
position (except for set-in work – see
"Operation" – "Set-in work").
Push stick
The push stick (22) serves as an exten-
sion of the hand and protects against
accidental contact with the saw blade.
Always use push stick if distance
between
fence and saw blade is 120 mm.
When the push stick is not used, store it
in the sheath provided underneath the
saw table.

4. Special product features

Three sawing principles combined in
one machine:
circular saw
radial pull saw
mitre saw
Radial pull action and rotating table
for cutting to size in confined spaces
without repositioning of the work-
pieces.
All important operating functions are
combined in a centralized control
unit.
Electronic speed control:
motor soft start;
low mains supply load;
constant saw blade speed irre-
spective of load provides for con-
sistent cut quality;
extended service life of the car-
bon brushes;
low no-load speed results in less
annoyance by noise.
An electronic motor protection by
overcurrent detection switches the
motor off when the rotor is locked,
e.g. by a jammed saw blade.
An undervoltage relay prevents the
machine from starting up when
power is restored after a power fail-
ure.
Magnesium alloy and a honeycomb
structure provide for maximum tor-
sional resistance at minimal weight.
Foldable legs and an integrated car-
rying handle provide for quick and
easy transportation.
Dustproof linear ball bearings, lubri-
cated for life, permanently maintain
guiding accuracy.

5. Transportation

1. Lower saw blade fully.
2. Dismount add-on parts (fence, slid-
ing carriage, table extension).
3. Lock motorhead carriage in its home
position.
4. Lock rotating table in the 0 position.

5. Turn saw over on its right-hand side.
6. Unlock rear legs (24) and fold up.

7. Unlock front legs (25), fold up over
the rear legs and secure with the
rear legs locking bars.
8. To transport, hold saw at the carry-
ing handle (23) underneath the
rotating table.
If possible use original carton for ship-
ping.

6. Operating elements

This machine is equipped with special
ratchet lock levers (26): if the swivelling
range of the lever is not sufficient for
adjustment, pull lever up, then turn and
release; the lever engages at the new
position.
The most important operating elements
are combined in the centralized control
unit (27):
ON/OFF switch
handwheel for blade tilt setting
mitre angle setting device
crank for depth of cut setting
push/pull action
ON/OFF switch

To restart

after the automatic motor protection
has tripped (e.g. because of a
locked rotor), or
after a power failure (undervoltage
relay tripped),
the green switch button (29) must be
actuated again.
Handwheel for blade tilt setting
With the handwheel (30) the saw blade
can be steplessly tilted to the right from
0 (vertical) through 45 . The axis of
inclination lies level with the saw table,
thus the depth of cut remains the same
at all angles of inclination.
