By turning the fence 90° to both sides, it
can be used in both mounting positions
as either mitre fence or rip fence.
After setting, the ratchet lock levers (43),
(44) and thumb screw (45) must be tight-
ened.
After loosening the two knurled nuts

7. Initial operation

1.
Unfold legs fully – the locking device
43
must engage.
2.
Connect to a suitable dust collector.
44
A
Danger!
Wood dust of certain species
(e.g. oak, beech, ash) can cause can-
cer when inhaled: use a dust collector
when using the saw in enclosed
spaces;
when
extended periods (more than 1/2
hour per day);
45
when cutting oak, beech or ash.
3.
Install the blade guard (51) on the
riving knife (52); to do so, slide the
blade guard into the slot in the riving
knife and push to the rear until it
stops. Then tighten the wing nut.The
underside of the blade guard should
be in a horizontal position.
52
4.
Attach suction hose (50) to the
blade guard's suction port.
5.
Fit the other end of the suction hose
to the suction port at the rear of the
machine.

Note:
When used in conjunction with a
dust collector, this machine is sawdust-
tested according to AHO 99 10 81. To
ensure the required air speed of 20 m/s
when commercially available portable
dust collectors are used, the suction port
(53) at the rear of the saw has two
bypass opernings.

Mains connection

B
Danger! High voltage
Operate this machine in dry sur-
roundings only.
Operate the machine only on a
power source meeting the follow-
ing requirements (see also "Tech-
nical specifications"):
mains voltage and system fre-
quency conform to the voltage
and frequency shown on the
machine´s rating label;
fuse protection by a residual
current operated device (RCD)
of 30 mA sensitivity;
Outlets
properly
earthed and tested.
Position power supply cable so it
does not interfere with the work
and is not damaged.
Protect power supply cable from
heat,
aggressive
sharp edges.
Use only rubber-jacketed exten-
sion cables of sufficient lead
cross-section (3 x 1.5 mm
Do not pull on power supply
cable to unplug.

8. Operation
