2.5.2 Coding Switches for the
Sound Effects Circuit
The sound effects circuit also has
8 coding switches, which are used
to change different sound effects.
Caution:
These switches come from the factory
set in the optimal combination of on
and off settings. Changing them is
therefore not necessary. In extreme
cases changing the settings for these
coding switches can damage the
sound effects circuit.
The following table shows the set-
tings for the coding switches for your
information:
No. Switch at on
1 Must always be set at "on"!
2 Must always be set at "on"!
3 The sound effects are turned off after a few minutes
as long as the locomotive is at a standstill and all (!)
functions are shut off.
4 Different additional sound effects (air compressor,
work sounds of the fireman, etc.) activated.
5 Must always be set at "on"!
6 Tyical flat slide valve noise can be heard during
coasting.
7 Reproduction of different sound effects, depending
on the operating status of the locomotive.
8 Reproduction of 4 exhaust strokes per wheel revo-
lution (the same as the original).
