Operation

4.1

Making a call using the receiver or handsfree feature

The telephone can be used like any conventional telephone and, in addition, has some useful
special features, which make phoning considerably easier for you. You have two ways of making
a call:
4.1.1

Making a call using the receiver

1. Lift the receiver and wait until you hear a dialling tone.
2. Now dial the required telephone number.
3. IIf the receiver volume is too quiet or too loud, you can change this to suit your requirements,
with the small switch
4. To end the call, replace the receiver.
If you want to change during a call from the receiver to the handsfree function, press the
button and replace the receiver on the rest.
4.1.2

Making a call using the handsfree function

1. Press the handsfree button
the dialling tone from the in-built loudspeaker.
2. Now dial the required telephone number.
If the other party accepts the call, his voice will be heard over the in-built loudspeaker. When
using the handsfree function always speak loudly and clearly towards the telephone.

Receiving Calls

Calls can be accepted either by using the receiver or by using the handsfree function. Lift the
receiver or use the handsfree function by pressing the handsfree button

Redialling

If a connection that you have dialled is engaged or you were unable to get through to anybody,
simply replace the receiver. To use the redial function, proceed as follows:
1. Lift the receiver or press the handsfree button
2. Press the redial button
4.4

Adjustable Call Tone

You can use the RINGER slide switch underneath the telephone to select the settings loud (HI) or
soft (LO) to adapt the ringer volume to your requirements. Should you not want to be disturbed,
use the off position.
