4.3 Care
CAUTION
Risk of loss of function due to incorrect care. The 3WR95 knee joint must be cleaned with
clean fresh water every time following contact with saltwater or water containing chlorine/soap
or contact with abrasive substances (e.g. sand). Do not use lipophilic cleaning agents, high
pressure washers, or boiling hot water. The knee joint may not be cleaned in a dishwasher or
washing machine. It must also be dried carefully immediately after every use.
Contact with abrasive substance (e.g. sand) can lead to premature wear.

5 Maintenance/Repair

5.1 Maintenance
INFORMATION
This component was tested for three million load cycles in accordance with ISO 10328. De-
pending on the amputee's activity level, this corresponds to a service life of three to five years.
We always recommend regular annual safety inspections.
The safety inspections must be performed by a prosthetist.
5.2 Repair
CAUTION
Disassembly on your own initiative. If the 3WR95 is disassembled on your own initiative, this
may lead to defects and resulting malfunction of the 3WR95 knee joint, including loss of function
due to structural failure. This can cause the user to fall.
Do not disassemble the 3WR95 knee joint on your own initiative! Please contact a prosthetist
immediately in case of faults!
6 Disposal
6.1 Disposal Information
INFORMATION
This product may not be disposed of with regular domestic waste in all jurisdictions.
Disposal that is not in accordance with the regulations of your country may have a det-
rimental impact on health and the environment. Please observe the information provided
by the responsible authorities in your country regarding return and collection processes.

7 Legal information

7.1 Liability
The manufacturer recommends using the device only under the specified conditions and for the
intended purposes. The device must be maintained according to the Instructions for Use. The
device must only be operated with tested modular components in accordance with the Ottobock
Mobility System. The manufacturer is not liable for damage caused by component combinations
that were not authorised by the manufacturer.
