Transport

Only transport the butterfl y valve by

suitable means. Do not drop. Handle
carefully.
Dispose of packing material according

to relevant local or national disposal
regulations / environmental protection
laws.
7.2

Delivery and performance

The butterfl y valve is supplied fully
assembled. The operator instructions are
included separately. The scope of delivery is
apparent from the dispatch documents and
the design from the order number.
The performance of the butterfl y valve was
checked at the factory.
Check that all parts are present and

check for any damage immediately upon
receipt.

Storage

Store the butterfl y valve free from dust

and moisture in its original packaging.
Store the butterfl y valve with a slightly

opened disc.
Avoid UV rays and direct sunlight.

Do not exceed the maximum storage
G
temperature of +40 °C.
Solvents, chemicals, acids, fuels or
G
similar fl uids must not be stored in the
same room as butterfl y valves and their
spare parts.

GEMÜ D480 is a soft seated butterfl y valve.
The butterfl y valve is suitable for gaseous
and liquid media in industrial applications as
well as in water treatment.
