• Never pour any cleaning agent or other chemical additives into
the water reservoir. This could destroy the device and safe work-
ing is no longer guaranteed.
• Maintain a suffi cient distance from heat sources such as hobs
or ovens in order not to damage the device.
• Do not drop the device or allow it to be knocked violently.
• Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, strong tem-
perature fl uctuations, direct sunlight or moisture.
• Always try cleaning fi rst at a small, inconspicuous spot.
• Never direct the steam at one spot for too long.
• Never use the device on cold glass surfaces. The hot steam
could cause the glass to shatter.
• In the case of surfaces treated with wax, the heat and steam
may remove the wax!
• Always hold the device horizontally during use.
• Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents (e. g. vin-
egar) or cleaning pads to clean the device.
• No liquid must be allowed to enter the device during cleaning.
This may cause considerable damage to the device.
• Put the device back into its storage position only once it has
completely cooled down and there is no more water in the water
reservoir.
• Store the device in a dry, clean place out of reach to children.
