o) Hood for Tank or Battery Compartment

The canopy is already ready for operation ex works and applied with a
quick-closure.
After lifting the canopy, there is enough space to place the drive battery
and flight controller in the model with electrical drive, and a tank into a
model with a combustion engine.
These operating instructions show the possible installation site for a
flight controller (1) and drive battery (2) for illustration.

p) Mounting the Motor Cowl

Due to the many options (combustion engine or electrical drive, large
or small motors, etc.), these operating instructions cannot make any
concrete indication for adjustment of the motor cowl and transfer to the
spinner.
Therefore, adjust the motor cowl from the construction set to the
individual situation at your own discretion. Observe matching cooling
of the drive independently of whether you choose a combustion engine
or an electrical drive.
The motor cowl is attached to the fuselage with two grub screws 2.5 x
12 mm each on the left and right. Pre-drill the corresponding small
holes in the motor carrier for this.
The motor cowl must be installed so that the distance of the spinner
back plate to the motor cowl is approx. 2 - 4 mm.
Practical advice:
To be able to drill the perfectly matching holes for the screws of the
motor cowl, attach two paper strips to the left and right of the fuselage
with adhesive tape with the motor cowl removed.
The paper strips must be attached so that the holes to be drilled at the
motor carrier can be marked on the paper strips.
Then fold the paper strips back again, apply the motor cowl and mark the drill holes at the motor cowl as indicated on the paper strips.

q) Mounting the Receiver and Power Supply

Depending on the drive system (electrical, motor or combustion engine) and components used, concrete information on installation is not possible here either.
Try out several options with the objective of finding the right centre of gravity by proper placement without trimming lead if possible. However, batteries always
need to be secured in the fuselage with suitable media (e.g. cable ties, hook-and-loop tape).

r) Mounting the Canopy Glazing

The canopy glazing must be cut from a moulded part with a protrusion of about 5 mm and glued into the corroding openings in the fuselage with 30-minute epoxy
resin.
s) Assembly of the Wings
The wing is attached with the wing dowels to the front of the fuselage and attached with M4 x 30 screws. For further stabilisation, the wing braces (see chapter
„Mounting the Wing Braces") must be installed.
