4. Assemble the tubular drive with the relevant ring (A) and drive adapter (B).
Insert the tubular drive with the pre-assembled ring and drive adapter into
the tube as shown. Ensure that the ring and drive adapter are correctly
positioned in the tube. (Fig. 7)
The drive adapter of the tubular drive is connected to the roller tube as
follows:

Attention
When drilling into the roller tube, never drill near the tubular
drive!
The tubular drive must not be hit into the tube or dropped into
the roller tube!
Becker also recommends that the counter bearing be joined to the roller
tube.
5. Hang the tube in the bracket and secure the motorhead piece in the drive
bracket.
6. Hang the mounted unit consisting of tube, tubular drive and thrust bracket
in the bracket.
Attention
When using locking straps enclosed bearings must be fitted.
The tubular drive presses the closed shutter down to prevent
anyone from grasping the bottom rail and pushing it up. Only
use shutters made of sufficiently strong material, such as
aluminium, steel or wood. To avoid damage to the shutter it
must run in guide rails from top to bottom.
7. Secure the drive according to the type of wall bracket. The roller shutter
can be put into operation either with the Becker switch fitting (Item no.
4901 002 181 0, where the drive cannot be reset) or with the Becker pro-
gramming handset for drives with electronic limit switching (Item no. 4935
200 011 0).
Attention
The programming handset is not suitable for continuous op-
eration, but is only provided for commissioning!
8. Connect the wires of the tubular drive to those of the same colour in the
programming handset and switch the power supply on (Fig. 8).
9. Position the barrel so that the roller shutter can be attached with springs
or fit the locking strap security devices in accordance with the manufac-
turer's instructions.
Note
We recommend at least three springs per metre of barrel.
When mounting the roller shutter drive always ensure that the
motor connection cable cannot be damaged when operating
the system.
Cover any sharp edges, over which the cable is led, with ap-
propriate protective tape.
If the mains connection cable is damaged, it may only be re-
placed by the manufacturer. Lay the cable up to the motor,
or form a loop with the cable, so that rain can run off at the
bottom point.
