fRONT HANDLE

This power tool is equipped with a mobile front
handle (4). (Fig. 3)
Changing the position of the front handle is per-
formed in the following way:
1. Ensure that the motor is not running.
2. Rotate the eccentric lever (19) of the tight-
ening mechanism to release the handle.
3. Shift the front handle (4) to the desired po-
sition.
4. Rotate the eccentric lever (19) of the fixing
mechanism to lock the handle in place.
It is possible during operation that the front han-
dle may not be fixed firmly by turning the ec-
centric lever.
In this case use the S4 spanner delivered with
the machine to tighten the screw (45) for adjust-
ing the tightening mechanism.
To adjust the tightening mechanism, perform the
below specified steps:
1. Ensure that the fixing tooth (43) of the han-
dle has entered the groove (44) in the plastics
bush. If the tooth is not in the groove, turn the ec-
centric lever (19) in the open position and rotate
the handle until the tooth enters the groove.
2. Turn the eccentric lever in locked position
(fixed handle).
3. Use the S4 spanner to tighten the adjust-
ing screw (45) by ¼ revolution.
4. Check if the handle can move forward-
backward along the arm and rotate.
5. If the handle can still move, repeat steps
2 and 3 until the handle cannot be moved any
more.
6. Turn the eccentric lever (19) in the open
position and check the movement of the handle
along the arm.
7. Check the fixing of the handle in several
places along the arm.
Do not over-tighten the adjusting screw (45) oth-
erwise this may cause difficulties in shifting the
front handle and deformation of the guide arm.
REAR HANDLE
This power tool is delivered with auxiliary rear
Original instructions
handle. Using the rear handle allows stretching
the machine and processing high walls and ceil-
ings without using a ladder.
Depending on the model this power tool may be
delivered with the rear handle (5) mounted onto
the driving machine or with disassembled rear
handle.
To assemble the rear handle (5) fasten it to the
driving machine (1) by the four screws M6x10
(20) delivered with the machine. Align the han-
dle (5) towards the driving machine (1) as shown
on Fig. 4.
Tighten the screws (20) firmly using the S4 Allen
key delivered with the machine.
Unwind the screws (20) to remove the handle.
After removing the handle (5) clean it with a
brush and dry soft cloth and preserve it together
with the screws (20).
In case the rear handle (20) is disassembled
you may use the body of the driving machine
(1) instead.
WARNING: When using the driving
machine (1) body as a rear handle hold the
machine as shown on Fig. 4. Do not block the
incoming (21) and outgoing (22) motor ven-
tilation slots. Otherwise this will hamper the
normal motor ventilation and may cause mo-
tor overheating and fault.

DUST EXTRACTION

WARNING: It is obligatory to connect
the long reach sander to a M class vacuum
cleaner prior to operation. Using dust bags or
filters inappropriate to collect the dust sepa-
rated during dry sanding will increase the dust
particles in the air. Over a prolonged period
the high dust concentration in the air may
damage operator's respiratory system.
CONNECTING TO A VACUUM CLEAN-
ER
Insert a special dust bag for collecting the dust
separated during dry sanding into the vacuum
cleaner according to the instructions supplied
with the vacuum cleaner.
Connect the hose of the vacuum cleaner to the
dust extraction port (6) of the long reach sand-
er.
