If you always use the same transmitter, the programming of the positions of the throttle/brake lever of your
transmitter is only to be carried out once.
It can become necessary to re-programme the full throttle and neutral position if you shift the trim for the
drive function.

b) Programming the Special Functions

The speed controller is already programmed in the factory with the best pre-settings. No changes should
be made for the first attempts at driving.
The speed controller unit has many different programming options, e.g. a low-voltage protection function, a motor-
braking function, maximum braking power and much more.
We would like to explain the function of the programming using the following example of how to set the motor-brake
function.
The higher the values in the motor-brake function are set, the quicker the model car slows down when you
release the throttle/brake. A conventional electric motor already develops a relatively strong motor-braking
strength due to the magnets it contains – this is much weaker in brushless motors. The motor-braking
function thus corresponds to the motor brake in a "real" car, when you release the accelerator but do not
step on the brake pedal.
The basic (factory) setting, for example, is "10%". In the following example, this value is to be changed to
"40%".
For this purpose, proceed as follows:
• Switch off the speed controller (see chapter 8 g, figure 1)
• The remote control transmitter must be activated/must remain switched
on (don't switch it off!). The throttle/brake lever must be in its neutral
position
• Hold down the small button on the speed controller unit (see arrow in the
picture to the right); then switch the speed controller unit on (do not re-
lease the button, keep it held down!).
Do not use any force when holding the set-up button down. Otherwise the button may break off and you
will void your guarantee!
• The red LED on the side of the speed controller unit flashes. Continue to press and hold the setup button. Don't
release it!
• The red LED stops flashing and the green LED begins to flash (continue to press and hold the setup button. Don't
release it!).
Depending on the flash signal given by the green LED, the speed controller unit is in a corresponding
settings menu. At the same time as the flash signal emitted by the green LED, the motor emits a corre-
sponding beep tone.
The beep tone is generated because the brushless motor is activated for a moment. Depending on the
motor, this beep may be very low or inaudible. In this case, observe the LED on the speed controller.
