• Eteignez le bloc d'alimentation ATX (à l'aide de l'interrupteur situé sur le dos du
bloc d'alimentation, à côté de la prise secteur !).
• Connectez le bloc d'alimentation ATX au moyen du cordon d'alimentation fourni à
une prise de courant secteur munie d'un fil de mise à la terre (tension alternative
230V/50Hz).
• Allumez le bloc d'alimentation ATX au moyen de l'interrupteur.
Le PC ne démarre pas encore (voir point 5). Appuyez à cet effet brièvement sur la
touche ATX (touche "Power") située à l'avant de votre capot ATX.
• Si le PC ne démarre pas correctement (si par ex. aucune image n'apparaît, si l'or-
dinateur émet des bips sonores etc.), éteignez-le immédiatement et enlevez la
fiche de la prise de courant !
Ouvrez seulement ensuite le boîtier du PC.
Est-ce que toutes les cartes d'extension, le ventilateur pour unité centrale, tous les
câbles sont installés de manière correcte (pin1)?
7. Maniement
N'allumez jamais le bloc d'alimentation ATX (ou votre ordinateur dans lequel vous
avez installé le bloc d'alimentation) tout de suite quand il vient d'être mis d'une piè-
ce froide dans une pièce chaude. L'eau de condensation qui en résulte pourrait,
dans des conditions défavorables, détruire le bloc d'alimentation ainsi que tous les
appareils y branchés.
Laissez donc votre ordinateur débranché du secteur prendre la température
ambiante. Ceci peut, dans certain cas, durer plusieurs heures.
Prenez soin à ce qu'une aération suffisante soit garantie pendant le fonctionnement
de l'ordinateur. Ne positionnez pas l'ordinateur à proximité de radiateurs, ne le pla-
cez pas tout près des murs ou des meubles.
Il faut positionner le boîtier ATX avec bloc d'alimentation incorporé de manière à ce
que la circulation de l'air soit garantie.
N'introduisez jamais des objets comme trombones, stylos à bille,
épingles et aiguilles à tricoter dans les fentes d'aération ou les
ouvertures du bloc d'alimentation ATX. Ceci perturbe le fonc-
tionnement du ventilateur, en outre, il y a danger de mort si vous
touchez des fils électriques et des prises !

6. Mounting PC Components
IIf you do not have the necessary know-how for the assembly,
engage a specialist or a specialised workshop to do the assembly
for you! Improper assembly damages the product as well as addi-
tionally built-in components and connected devices. Do not miss
to read the safety instructions prior to assembly!
Warning: Danger of Life!
It is not admissible to install or connect further PC components to
the ATX case unless the ATX power unit and all remaining devices
that are connected to the computer are switched off and separa-
ted from the mains voltage (including all on-line power supply,
UPS, emergency power supply etc.). Unplug the mains plug(s)!
• Remove the side panel screws. To remove the panels, slide them off backwards.
The mains cable and the bag of screws are normally in the interior of the ATX case;
take them out.
Warning!
The sharp edges of the ATX PC case may cause injury!
Take your time for assembly and handle the metalwork parts with care
in order to avoid any injury!
• Then assemble the PC components you are going to use.
In the following you will find an example of how to assemble PC components. The
order varies according to the type of component you apply.
• Begin with the motherboard.
Insert the CPU into the motherboard and place the heat sink on the CPU. Do not
forget to apply heat sink compound or foil since otherwise the CPU will be destroy-
ed in a few seconds!. Connect the CPU-fan power supply with the motherboard.
Next properly set the jumpers on the motherboard, if any.
Insert the storage module(s) into the matching sockets(s) of the motherboard,
observing the correct orientation!
To fix the motherboard in the ATX case, the case is supplied with matching stand-
offs. It is essential to ensure that these are located beneath the matching fixing
