7. Attach both wings of the check valve (3)
by inserting the pins (12) into the mount-
ing holes (13) on the exhaust hood vent
opening (14). While doing this, carefully
bend the wings very slightly so as not to
break off the delicate plastic lugs.
8. Installation under a cabinet unit:This
step is omitted if the appliance is not in-
stalled underneath a cabinet unit.

Assembly
– Mark the air outlet for the exhaust air
hose (2) on the bottom of the cabinet
and saw the opening into the cabinet.
– To do this, drill a hole inside the circle
with a wood drill.
– Cut out the circle from there using a jig-
saw.
– Smooth the edges with sandpaper.

9. Attach the exhaust air hose (2) opening
with a diameter of 153 mm (see marking
on the hose) to the vent opening (14) and
secure it with cable ties (4).
