sont caractérisés par les symboles ci-contre, qui indiquent
l'interdiction de les jeter dans les ordures ménagères. Les
désignations pour le métal lourd prépondérant sont : Cd =
cadmium, Hg = mercure, Pb = plomb. Vous pouvez rappor-
ter gratuitement vos piles et accus usagés aux centres de
récupération de votre commune ou à tous les points de ven-
te de piles et d'accus.

Functional description

The Compo HVA-9050R amplifier has six inputs, of which only one is intended for
phono operation and a second is intended to connect recording equipment (e.g. cas-
sette recorder).
With the remote control supplied, the main functions of the amplifier can be operated
in comfort, from an armchair.
Two pairs of loudspeakers can be connected to the outputs, which can then be selec-
ted via the loudspeaker selection buttons.
The built-in level meters are illuminated and their sensitivity is switchable.
A delayed switch-on function connects the loudspeakers to the loudspeaker output
only when all capacitors in the device have been charged. Thus, thumps in the loud-
speakers during power up are prevented.
Separate ball and treble controls as well as the balance control enable the sound to
be modified for the local conditions and for personal taste.
The headphones output completes the features, which in this price class are very
comprehensive.

Starting operation

To ensure correct start-up, please read all operating instructions
and safety instructions carefully before using the device.
Before connecting the amplifier, turn it's power switch to the off
position and disconnect and turn off any other appliances that are
connected with it.
Proceed in the same way when changing the wiring.

Set-up

The amplifier should be placed on a stable, level surface.
Take care not to place the amplifier in direct sunlight and protect it
from vibration, dust, heat, cold and moisture. Keep the appliance
away from strong transformers or motors.
Always operate the amplifier on a steady surface, and one that is
not heat sensitive and make sure it is horizontal and has enough
air circulating around it.
Under no circumstances place it on a soft surface or a carpet as,
otherwise, the circulation of air and thus the necessary cooling of
the equipment will be prevented.
Not doing so may cause damage to the device.
The amplifier is quite heavy so make sure that it is well placed or
on a stable surface to avoid unnecessary accidents.
