• Drill two 3 mm holes at 55 mm centres into the wall! The holes
must be deep enough to receive the plastic plugs completely!
• Now secure the cover to the wall with the screws supplied!
2. Cable connection
• Remove the connection cover after loosening the four screws!
(see following illustration)
• Break through the opening in the cable box and feed two 3-
core cables (NYM-J 3x1.5) through the opening in the casing!
(see following illustration)
• The cable for the sensor power supply should be able to be
switched on via a light switch, so that there is the possibility to
switch the IR Alarm Unit (sensor) on and off at any chosen
time! (see also the chapter "Manual operation").
The sensor and the Alarm Unit must be connected to the
same AC power circuit, e.g. the ground floor or first floor
power circuit!
• Connect the 3-core cables to the connection terminals!
Attention!
The yellow/green earth wire must be connected!

Note
Operation of the IR Alarm Unit is also possible without connec-
tion of an external floodlight or similar. The sensor remains
active and the alarm/doorbell thereby in operation.
• Secure the connection cover once more with the screws! Take
care that the seal is correctly aligned!

Putting into operation

1. Rotate the twilight control
unit for daylight!
2. Rotate the time control
test switched-on duration!
3. The power cable has been connected to the Alarm Unit (sen-
sor) but before installation, power was removed by removing
the fuse. Now reinsert the fuse!
After switching on, if an external floodlight is connected, it
remains on for approximately 60 seconds, assuming that no
movement which the sensor can resolve is detected in the area
of coverage.
4. Adjust the sensitivity control
that the desired area of coverage is achieved. Setting fully
clockwise achieves maximum sensitivity. Setting fully anticlock-
wise achieves minimum sensitivity.
5. The horizontal area can be reduced by use of the blanking
strips.
Note:
The red LED (see illustration on Page 6) on the front of the sen-
sor always lights when a movement within the area of coverage
fully clockwise, to adjust the
fully anticlockwise, to set the shor-

and the sensor angle such
