The infrared (IR) sensor reacts to the infrared radiation (heat
radiation) from moving bodies (persons, animals and vehicles),
which enter the area of coverage.
The area of coverage is 110°; the range is approx. 10 metres.
If the area of coverage is entered, during daylight hours the sen-
sor switches on optionally an alarm siren or a door bell. In additi-
on, at night a floodlight operates if connected.
An integrated twilight control enables adjustment of the opera-
ting sensitivity, so that the floodlight is switched on reliably
when darkness falls.
Furthermore, the sensitivity of the sensor and the operating time
of a connected floodlight can be adjusted, following detection
of movement in the area of coverage.
