8. Maintenance and cleaning
Before cleaning or maintaining the product, isolate it from the mains
supply, disconnect the plug-in power supply unit from the mains
socket outlet.
A soft dry lint-free cloth is sufficient to clean the product.
If the product is heavily soiled you can use a cloth moistened in lukewarm water and

a splash of weak detergent.
The product must only be maintained or repaired by a specialist repairer or a quali-
fied technician.
9. Disposal
Dispose of the product, if it is unserviceable, in accordance with the relevant statuto-
ry regulations.
10. Hints and tips
• The PC switch box can be powered by either the supplied plug-in power supply
unit or via one of the connected PCs.
Note that the PC switch box and its connected keyboard and mouse draws too
much current for many PCs.
It is therefore always advisable to use the supplied plug-in power supply unit.
• Special mouse drivers and additional mouse software or software to support mul-
timedia keys of the type used for many keyboards may cause problems when
using the PC switch box.
If you experience switching problems, uninstall such additional software and
check the operation of the PC switch box.
• The PC switch box simulates both a keyboard as well as a mouse and a VGA
monitor on the other PCs (those that are not currently active).
