4. Eléments de commande et de raccor-
dement
Socle mâle pour le raccordement d'appareils à posistor
Eteignez l'alimentation par le bouton marche/arrêt. Raccordez le socle mâle pour
appareils à posistor au moyen d'un cordon secteur approprié à une prise de courant
à 230 V~/50Hz avec conducteur de terre.
Socle femelle pour appareils à posistor
Un câble de raccordement spécial permettrait de raccorder ici votre moniteur. Vous
nécessitez ainsi une prise de courant de moins. Il est de plus possible d'allumer ain-
si le moniteur en allumant l'alimentation.
A cause du courant à enclenchement élevé de l'alimentation et du
moniteur, le coffret à fusibles de votre maison risque de se déclen-
cher.
Si cela se produit, vous pouvez certes raccorder le moniteur au socle
femelle pour appareils à posistor, mais il faut tout de même l'allumer
individuellement (vous économisez donc une seule prise de courant).
Ventilateur
Le ventilateur permet de dissiper la chaleur excédentaire.

6. Handling
Never turn on the device immediately after it has been brought from a cold into a
warm room. Condensation water that forms might destroy your device.
Leave the device switched off and wait until the power unit (and the computer
in which the power unit is installed) has reached room temperature. Depending
on circumstances this can take some hours.
Heed to sufficient ventilation of the power unit during operation. Do not locate the
computer next to radiators, heed to sufficient distance between the back of your
computer and walls or furniture.
The PC casing has to be placed so that a circulation of air can take place.
Do not insert anything e.g. paper clips, pens, pins or knitting
needles in ventilator grooves or device openings. This causes
operational malfunctions; moreover it involves extreme danger in
case of touching electrical wires and leads.
When setting up your computer be careful that the mains cable is neither bent nor
squeezed.
7. Maintenance and Cleaning
Check regularly the technical safety of the power unit, e.g. damaged mains cable or
casing.
If there is room to believe that safe operation has become impossible put the power
unit out of operation and secure it against any unintended operation. Pull plug!
Safe operation must be presumed no longer possible, if
- the device exhibits visible damage,
- the device does not operate any longer
- the device was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time or
- the device was exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport.
