To switch the display on or off, press TIME ON/OFF .
It is recommendable to operate the device with the plug-in power unit if you

If the display is switched off, you can activate it for five seconds by pressing any of
the buttons.
Switching the display on every hour:
If the display is switched off, the device can be set to activate the display briefly at

in 12 hours instead of in 24. In the 12 hour format, the abbreviation "AM" is dis-
played in front of the time for the first half of the day and "PM" for the afternoon.
Setting the alarm time
You can set two alarm times - AL1 and AL2.
• Press MODE to call up „AL1" (alarm time 1) or „AL2" (alarm time 2). The corre-
sponding symbol „AL1" or „AL2" flashes.

The alarm function is activated automatically after setting the alarm time. After a
short time, the display will indicate the time again (standard mode).
In standard mode, „AL1" or „AL2" will appear above the time.
If you set both alarm times, make sure the time between the two alarm
times is more than 30 minutes.
Activating/Deactivating the alarm
The alarm function is activated automatically after setting the alarm time.
Proceed as follows to deactivate the alarm function:
• Press MODE to call up „AL1" (alarm time 1) or „AL2" (alarm time 2). The corre-
sponding symbol „AL1" or „AL2" flashes.
• Briefly press SET, the display will read „——". The alarm function is switched off.
To activate the alarm function, proceed as follows:

Pressing any button other than TIME/SNOOZE while the alarm is ringing stops the
alarm. In that case it will go off again at the set time on the next day.
Setting the date
• Press the MODE button until the date appears on the display. The „DATE" symbol
flashes.
• Press and hold the SET button. The first display starts flashing. Depending on the
time format set, the display will indicate the day first and then the month. This is
the case with the 24 hour time format. With the 12 hour format, the month will be
displayed first, and then the day.
• Press the MODE button to set the first flashing value. Press SET to confirm your
setting and to start setting the second value. Set the second value with the MODE
button as well. Press SET to quit setting.
