Mode de fonctionnement

Les thermomètres infrarouges mesurent la température de la surfa-
ce d'un objet. Le capteur de l'appareil enregistre le rayonnement
thermique émis, réfléchi et transmis de l'objet et convertit cette
information en une valeur de température.
L'appareil ne permet pas de prendre des mesures à travers des surfa-
ces transparentes telles que du verre. Au lieu de mesurer la températu-
re de l'objet désiré, il mesure la température à la surface du verre.

Note:
When determining the degree of emission automatically, the surface
temperature should be higher than the ambient temperature. A tem-
perature of approximately 100 °C is ideal.
From time to time, check whether the degree of emission determi-
ned is still correct by measuring with and without contact at the
same time. If both values are identical, the set degree of emission is
still correct.
°C/F conversion
The °C/°F slide switch (9) in the battery compartment is used to
switch between °C and °F.

Alarm feature

For the alarm, press the MODE key (3) until the display indicates the
desired alarm level. „HAL" for High Alarm or „LAL" for Low Alarm.
Set the alarm to the desired level with the arrow keys (2/8). To
activate the alarm feature (audible) set the slide switch „Alarm
ON/OFF" in the battery compartment to „ON". The alarm symbols
„Hi" and „Low" are shown on the display.
The IR-364 will sound an audible alarm if alarm values are undercut
or exceeded during non-contact temperature measuring.

Contact measurements using K-type sensor

Apart from non-contact IR measurements, the IR-364 can also be
used for contact measurements with a K-type sensor.
For contact measurements, insert a commercially available K-type
sensor with a standardised mini-socket into the socket provided (4).
For the secondary display (20) to indicate the temperature value
determined with the K-type sensor, select „TK" with the MODE key
(3).
