p) Resetting standard settings ('Reset')

• In order to reset all standard settings, press the 'Reset' button on the rear of the device with
a narrow pointed object.
• The time and date settings are reset. The standard date '1.January, 2008' as well as the
standard time '12:00' reappears on the display.
• After that reset date and time according to the instructions.

9. Maintenance and care

Clean the product with a soft, clean and dry cloth. Do not use aggressive detergents or chemi-
cals as these can damage the housing (discolouration). Do not press too hard on the LC display.
This will cause scratches and can damage the LC display.

10. Disposal

General information
Products marked with the symbol shown opposite must not be disposed of in the
normal household waste. You are obliged to dispose of such electrical and used
electronic products separately.
Ask your local authority about the facilities for controlled disposal. Separate dis-
posal ensures that the used products are submitted for recycling or other forms
of re-use. It means you are helping to prevent harmful materials being released
into the environment.
Batteries
The end user is legally obliged (Battery Regulation) to return used batteries.
Disposal in the domestic waste is prohibited!
Pollutant-containing batteries/accumulators are identifi ed by the symbols along-
side which draw attention to the prohibition of disposal with domestic waste.
The icons for the respective heavy metal are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury,
Pb = lead (the marking is on the battery below the dustbin symbols on the left).
You can hand in your used batteries at the collection points of your community,
in our stores or in any other store, where batteries are sold. In doing so, you fulfi l
your statutory obligations and help protect the environment.
