6. Commissioning, fi tting the batteries
• Slide the cover (21) on the back of the product to the side and open the battery compartment
(22).
• Insert two (AAA) micro batteries observing the correct polarity (marks in the battery compart-
ment).
• Close the battery compartment (22) again with the cover (21).
The batteries should be fi tted at all times to ensure that the product continues to
be supplied with power even if the power fails.
• Insert the power pack supplied into a suitable mains socket.
• Connect the jack at the other end of the power pack cord to the power connection (8) on the
product.
• Press the "RESET" (18) button with a suitable object, (e.g. a toothpick). All display segments
will appear briefl y.
