MAINTENANCE

The multitester is maintenance-free apart from the need to replace the batteries and clean it once
in a while. Unauthorized modifications or repairs to the device invalidate the guarantee. Battery
replacement is described under OPERATION. To clean the instrument or the display window, use a
clean lint-free anti-static and dry cleaning cloth.
Do not use any carbon-containing cleaning agents or benzenes, alcohol or the like to clean
the product. These could corrode the surface of the measuring instrument. Furthermore,
the fumes are hazardous to your health and explosive. Moreover, you should not use
sharp-edged tools, screwdrivers or metal brushes or similar for cleaning.

dISPOSAL

For the sake of our environment and for the best possible recycling of the raw materials
used, the consumer should bring the product at the end of its service life to the public
recycling sites for electrical scrap.
The sign of the crossed-out refuse bin with wheels means that this product must be taken
to a collection point for electrical scrap in order for the materials to be reused for the best
possible recycling of the raw materials.

Batteries / rechargeable batteries

As a consumer, you are legally obliged (regulation on the disposal of batteries) to
return all your used batteries and rechargeable batteries. Do not dispose of your used
batteries via the household rubbish! Batteries/rechargeable batteries containing harmful
substances are marked with the following icons, which alert you to the fact that disposal
via the household rubbish is prohibited. The identifiers for the respective heavy metals
are: Cd=cadmium, Hg=mercury, Pb=lead.
You can return your used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge to any
authorised disposal station in your area, in our stores or in any other store where
batteries/rechargeable batteries are sold!
In this way, you fulfil your legal obligation and contribute to protecting our environment.
