m) Mounting the Main Landing Gear

You should only install the wheel cover on your model airplane if you use a
solid runway (concrete or tarmac). If you plan to start and land your plane on
a grass runway, we recommend not using the wheel covers.
First, cut out the 4 wheel covering halves and stick two halves each together.
The grove (1) with the boring for the landing gear wire (2) must be located on
the inside of the cover.
Cut the remaining 8 mm long silicon hose into two 4 mm long parts.
First, slide the landing gear cover (3) and then the 4 mm long silicon hose (4),
then the wheel (5) onto the landing gear axle. The wheel is secured with a set
collar (6). The set collar must be mounted in such a way on the axle that the
wheel can still rotate easily.
When mounting without wheel covers, the silicon hose, then the wheel and
then finally the set collar are to be slid onto the axle.
After the two wheels are mounted, the landing gear cable is pushed into the
landing gear mount and secured using two 1.4 x 9mm screws (7). The holes
for the screws are already prepared in the landing gear mount.
Now place the model plane on the landing gear and align the wheel covers
exactly with one another. To fix the cover into place, apply a drop of super
glue in the guide groove (1) and align the cover exactly. Final gluing with the
landing gear is carried out at the end e.g. using „Stabilit Express" glue.
