9. Handling

• The product may not become damp or wet.
• Only measure accumulators, never batteries.
• Be careful of the probe tips, they are very sensitive!.
• Avoid the following unfavourable ambient condi-
tions at the place of set-up or during transport:
- strong or direct sunlight
- wetness or excessive air humidity
- extreme cold or heat
- dust or combustible gases, vapours or
- strong vibrations
- strong magnetic fields such as those found in the

Allow the device first of all to reach room tem-
perature. This may take several hours and cer-
tain circumstances.
• Never take the device apart!
• Check the product for damage every time before it is
used.
If you establish damage, do not put the product into
operation but take it to a specialist workshop.
• Do not press the foil keys of the measuring device
with pointed objects or a finger nail as they can be
damaged in this manner.
• On delivery, it is possible that a thin, transparent
protective foil is attached to the LC display and the
foil keys which you should remove before initial
operation.
