If the losses arising through cables and plug connectors
are to flow into the measurement as well, the
measurement should be carried out quite simply at the
desired point.
Through spring storage of the testing prods, a certain contact to
all four measuring points can be ensured quite easily.
When measuring, pay attention to the correct po-
larity (red measuring prod = "plus", black measur-
ing prod "= minus").
The measuring device could otherwise be de-
stroyed!
The spring contacts have to be pressed firmly on to the
desired measuring place (e.g. the pole lids of the
accumulators so that the probe tips are inserted com-
pletely up to the stop.
Do not exert any force.
The probe tips are very sensitive!. As the measuring
cable can not just be simply disconnected and a new
one used, high costs arise for damaged probe tips.
Bent or broken-off probe tips are not covered by
the guarantee or warranty!
Some accumulators do not allow the internal resist-
ance to be measured. These are accumulators with
integrated protective circuits, e.g. accumulators with
more than two contacts or also some special accumu-
lators for electrical tools.
In the case of comparative measurements on different cells,
identical contact areas always have to be used. Even welded-on
solder tags have an appreciable influence on the measuring
result.
