• Add desired fixings to the toast (i.e. ham and cheese) and place another slice of toast on
top. Spread some butter on the outward upper slice of toast as well. Make sure that the
sandwiches do not extend beyond the hotplates.
• Use this device to make max. two sandwiches simultaneously.
• Close the lid carefully and close it securely with the lid lock. Do not use force to close the lid.
If the lid lock cannot be applied easily, your sandwich is too thick.
WARNING! Hot steam may escape when the lid is closed.
Use extreme caution.
• Toasting takes about 2 – 3 minutes and will depend on the desired degree of cooking, the
type and thickness of the bread and fixings (cheese, ham, and so on) used.
• During operation, the ready indicator (1) will go on and off. This indicates that the device is
maintaining operating temperature.
• While your sandwiches are being toasted, you may prepare others.
• Unlatch the lid lock and carefully lift the lid via the insulated handle. Bear in mind that hot
steam may escape! Remove the sandwiches with a heat-resistant plastic or wooden utensil.
• Close the lid to retain operating temperature until you are ready to toast more sandwiches.
• From time to time, apply more oil or butter to the hotplates to prevent foodstuffs from
sticking.
• After use, disconnect the power plug from the power outlet and let the device cool down at a
safe location.
Note:
- For best results, spread butter on the outer halves of both slices of toast before toasting.
- Do not use any spray-on grease on the non-stick coating surfaces as this can cause damage
to them.
Caution! Note that your sandwiches may be extremely hot, depending on the type
of foodstuffs used, which can cause severe injury while eating. This is especially
true of foodstuffs containing water, such as tomatoes.

Cleaning and care

Attention! Do not use alcohol, acetone, benzene, scouring cleaning agents, etc.,
to clean the synthetic parts of the device. Do not use hard brushes or metallic
objects.
• Heed all Safety instructions while cleaning.
• Never submerge the device in water or other liquids!
• Prevent water from entering the device interior.
• Store the device out of the reach of children at a dry location shielded from moisture,
spraying water and sunlight.
