25. Dry the device and all components thoroughly before connection to the power supply and
attaching any accessories.
26. Do not use any attachments not recommended by the manufacturer, as they may cause
injury or damage. Use only original attachment parts or those recommended by the
manufacturer.
27. Caution hot surface! The appliance gets very hot!
28. RISK OF BURNING! Parts of the device get very hot during use. Touch only the
insulated handle. Caution! Hot steam may escape when the lid is opened. Do
not lean over the device while opening it.
29. Risk of fire or electric shock! Do not use any metal foils and do not place thick slices of
bread or metal objects, such as cutlery, in the sandwich toaster.
30. The device is current-carrying as long as it is plugged in.
31. Do not use bread with a high sugar content or sugar-powdered bread as such bread may
lead to fires.
32. RISK OF FIRE! BREAD CAN BURN! Never leave the device unattended. The device may
not come into contact with or be covered by easily flammable materials such as curtains,
textiles, walls, etc. Make sure that there is sufficient clearance at all times to flammable
materials.
33. In case of fire, first disconnect the plug from the power outlet or remove the
device from the power supply in some other way before taking steps to fight the
fire.
WARNING! Do not pour any water on a device still connected to the power

34. The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate
remote control system.
35. Let the device cool down at a location out of the reach of persons (including children) with
limited physical, sensory or mental aptitude.
36. Do not cover the device while it is still hot.

Special safety instructions

1. The hotplates and other device components get very hot during use. Let the device cool
down completely before cleaning or storage.
2. Make sure that the power cable does not come into contact with any hot surfaces.
3. Use only heat-resistant plastic or wooden utensils to prevent damage to the hotplates' non-
stick coating surface. Do not use utensils that are too sharp or pointy.
This device is suitable exclusively for private household use.
Danger of suffocation! Keep all packaging material away from children.
Dispose of the packaging materials in an appropriate way. Contact your local
authorities about collection points or waste separation.

Intended use

• Use this device only to toast sandwiches and never to prepare foodstuffs in any other form.
