CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Attention! Do not use alcohol, acetone, benzene, scouring cleaning agents, etc., to clean the
synthetic parts of the device. Do not use hard brushes or metallic objects.
Attention! Before cleaning, switch the device off and disconnect the power plug from the
socket.
Important! Prior to cleaning, let the fountain cool down thoroughly in an area out of reach of
children.
Important! Do not clean the fountain or any of its accessories in a dishwasher.
Important! Do not pour left-over chocolate down the drain or in the toilet. The chocolate will
harden and could clog up the drain. Put the left-over chocolate in a disposable container and
dispose of it in an environmentally friendly way.
1. Prior to first use and after each subsequent use, thoroughly clean the tiers, the topper, the tower base, the
auger and the bowl.
2. After the chocolate fountain has completely cooled off, you can easily clean it by carefully removing the entire
tower (topper, tiers and tower base) first. Make sure you do not damage the auger or bend the drive axle.
3. Wipe off the chocolate remains with a household paper tower or something similar.
4. Then disassemble the topper and tiers from the tower base and place the tower base, tiers, topper and auger
(not the motor!) into hot water for approx. 5 minutes.
5. Then clean the parts with warm water and dish soap and let them dry. To clean the fountain, you may use a
damp sponge, a damp cloth or a soft brush. Make sure that all impurities are removed.
6. Clean the bowl with a soft, damp cloth. Also clean the drive axle and its seal. Attention! Do not immerse the
motor unit and its bowl into water. Do not let water or moisture get into the motor unit!
7. Clean the fountain after each use in order to maintain its operating life.

Disposal of old electric devices.
The European directive 2002/96/EC for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE)
states that used household devices should not be disposed of with unsorted community
waste. These used devices must be collected separately from household waste in order to
increase the percentage of recovered devices and to recycle their parts, with the goal of
reducing the negative effects on human health and on the environment.
The symbol of the crossed out garbage can will be stamped onto all devices as a reminder of
the obligation to put them in a separate garbage collection. The consumer must consult local
authorities or the vendor to inform themselves about the manner in which their device should
be disposed of.
When the device has reached the end of its service life, make it defective by disconnecting the power
plug from the socket and cutting the cord in two.
