Important Safety Instructions

When using electrical devices, you should always follow basic safety instructions in order to limit the risk of fire,
electric shock, and/or personal injuries.
1. Read this instruction manual carefully.
2. To protect yourself from electric shock, make sure you do not immerse the power cord, power plug, or the
device in water or other liquids. The device is not suitable for wet sharpening.
3. Keep body parts, hair, etc, away from the rotating sharpening disc. If necessary, pull your hair back. Always
wear safety gloves when using the device without the honing guide.
4. The device is intended to be operated for a maximum of 3 minutes at a time. f you need more time, switch
it off until the motor cools down to room temperature before resuming use.
5. The sound that the motor makes is not a product error.
6. When using the device in the vicinity of children, constant supervision is absolutely essential.
7. Disconnect the device from the electrical socket before cleaning and if you are not going to use it for an
extended period of time. Let the device cool down before cleaning.
8. Do not use electrical devices with a damaged power cord. Do not attempt to operate the device after a
malfunction has occurred, or if it has been damaged in any way. Only an authorized Service Centre can
check, repair, or regulate the device.
9. The device is not suitable for outdoor use.
10. Do not let the power cord hang over an edge of a table, and make sure the device does not come into
contact with hot surfaces, especially cookers.
11. Turn the device off prior to disconnecting it from the power supply.
12. Do not clean the device with scouring agents, steel sponges, or similar scouring materials.
13. Use the device for its intended purpose only.

Before first use

Unpack the device carefully and remove all packaging materials.
Do not use scouring materials to remove the grinding rests from the detachable parts.

Cleaning and Maintenance

CAUTION: Make sure the device is not connected to an electrical socket. To protect yourself from electric
shock, do not immerse the power cord, power plug, or the device in water or other liquids.
If necessary, the device can be cleaned with a clean, damp cloth.
