1. Place an approved gasoline container below the carburetor (fig. 28C), and use a funnel to
EN
avoid spilling fuel.

FUEL STRAINER CLEANING

DE
WARNING! Gasoline is extremely flammable and is explosive under certain
conditions. Do not smoke or allow flames or sparks in the area open fire.
1. Remove the fuel strainer (fig. 29A) from the fuel tank.
2. Clean the fuel strainer (remove dirt which has accumulated on the mesh, and check that the
mesh is not broken anywhere).
3. Reinstall the fuel strainer and fuel line.

CLEAN AIR COOLING SYSTEM

WARNING! Running engines produce heat. Engine parts, especially muffler, become
extremely hot. Severe thermal burns can occur on contact. Combustible debris,
such as leaves, grass, brush, etc. can catch fire.
• Allow muffler, engine cylinder and fins to cool before touching.
• Remove accumulated debris from muffler area and cylinder area.
NOTICE: Do not use water to clean the engine. Water could contaminate the fuel
system. Use a brush or dry cloth to clean the engine. This is an air cooled engine. Dirt
or debris can restrict air flow and cause the engine to overheat, resulting in poor
performance and reduced engine life.
Use a brush or dry cloth to remove debris from the finger guard. Keep linkage, springs and
controls clean. Keep the area around and behind the muffler free of any combustible debris.

ENGINE BRAKE / FLYWHEEL BRAKE

(if the engine is equipped with a brake)
Periodically check that the brake is working properly. Pay attention to the proper maintenance
of the brake. Maintenance and repairs of the brake can only be performed by an authorized
service center.
Attention! Never use a mower with damaged or long time reacting flywheel brake.

ENGINE ADJUSTMENTS

NOTE: Do not change in any way the rated speed of the engine (carburetor side or
regulator side).
Your engine was adjusted in the factory and the non-respect of the homologation speed engine
could be dangerous for your safety and others safety. If the motor settings is changed in any way,
the warranty will be cancelled.
