Preparing the wheelchair for use

Your wheelchair is usually delivered fully-assembled and folded. A few simple
steps are sufficient to prepare it for use.
Risk of trapping!
When folding and unfolding/erecting your wheelchair, pay attention
to your fingers and only grip the parts which are illustrated.
Folding apart (Abb. 1 & Abb. 2)
Position yourself next to the wheelchair and tilt it slightly towards you. Then
press the crossbar apart with the flat of your hand.
Make sure that the crossbar engages in the rests.
Backrest surface (Abb. 3)
Pull the backrest surface bib beneath the seat and secure it with the Velcro
strap; this closes the gap between the backrest and the seat surface.
