Important!
After adjusting the seat inclination, check that the castor bushing is
positioned vertically to the floor.
Castor angle adjustment is carried out by turning the castor inlay in three
stages (- 3°, 0°, + 3°). The relevant angle which is set is displayed in a
window in the castor sleeve.
A change in the seat angle necessitates readjustment of the
brakes.
Extending the distance between wheels (Abb. 16 & Abb. 17)
Moving the rear wheels backwards increases the distance between wheels
and therefore also the stability of the wheelchair. Moving the rear wheels
forwards relieves the front wheels, thereby increasing the manoeuvrability of
your wheelchair.
First remove the rear wheels and secure the wheelchair to prevent it from
tipping over. Then release the adapter's two threaded connections and
remove the bolts completely. Now rotate the adapter by 180° and install it.
Make sure that the bolts are tightened securely again.
A change in the distance between the wheels necessitates
readjustment of the brakes.
Lower leg length (Abb. 18)
The setting is correct when your upper legs are horizontal when your feet are
positioned on the foot plates.
To adjust, release the threaded connection one quarter of a turn and pull the
locking mechanism backwards. Move the foot plate to a comfortable position
and release the locking mechanism again. The mechanism automatically
locks in the next position. Then tighten the threaded connection securely
again.
Angle-adjustable foot plates (Abb. 19)
The Caneo S and Caneo L are equipped with angle-adjustable foot plates as
standard. These can also be optionally used on the Caneo E. To adjust the
angle, first loosen the lever bolt and pull the foot plate slightly inwards until
the locking mechanism is released. Now set the desired angle and tighten the
lever bolt again.
