6.2 Installation
Place the CD in the drive.
The software installation usually starts automatically.
If this does not happen, open Explorer.
Click on the DENSITY folder.
Double-click on the setup.exe file. Installation then begins.
Now follow the instructions on the screen.
A file named "Density Pycnometer 50 kg" is created automati-
cally during the installation. The default directory for this folder
is "Program Files." A different directory can also be selected.
After installation has been successfully completed, the folder
contains a sub-folder named "Database" and a number of files.

6.3 Data Structure
The "Density Pycnometer 50 kg" folder contains the following
files:
The "Density50kg.exe" file is the application. This is started with
a double-click.
The "DENSITY.INI" file contains software parameters – do not
modify!
The "DensityHelp.chm" file is your help file. It can also be
opened by double-clicking within Explorer.
Files with the extension "*.daf" contain stored density
determinations according to the absolute weighing (fast)
method. Access is only available from within the application.
Files with the extension "*.daa" contain stored density
determinations according to the substitution method.
Again, access is only available from within the application.
6.4 Working Instructions for the Program
6.4.1 Start Page
The input screen and menu bar appear after the program
start-up.
The "File" menu facilitates access to view and print completed
calibrations.
The buttons "View accurate method file" and "View fast method
file" represent the corresponding functions.
The measuring instruments designated for density determination
are defined in the "Tools" menu. The corresponding function
proceeds from the "Update database ..." button.
The "Help" menu allows access to the detailed help file.
Access is also available via the "Help topics" button.
