- be correspondingly trained and qualified
- follow these operating instructions

The lightning symbol in a triangle on the appliance warns you against unprotected live compo-
nents or elements inside the housing. Bodily contact with these components or elements may
be fatal.
Live components can be exposed by opening covers or removing components (unless this can
be done without tools). Contact points can also be live. If the appliance needs to be opened for
calibrating, servicing, repairing or replacing parts or assemblies, it must be disconnected from
all sources of current first. If servicing or repairs on an open and live appliance are unavoidable,
these may only be carried out by a specialist who is familiar with the risks involved and is awa-
re of the relevant regulations.
• Pay attention to the applicable laws and regulations, e.g. prevention of accidents, employer's liability
insurance associations, when using in commercial or public places. As a user, you must obtain sufficient
information from the relevant offices and authorities. You are responsible for adhering to the applicable
laws and regulations.
If you are not sure about the correct connection, or if questions arise which are not answered by
the operating instructions, please do not hesitate to contact our technical support or a specialist
of your choice. Consult a specialist if you are in doubt about the operating principle or the safety
of the product.

13. Care and maintenance

Always observe the following safety instructions before cleaning or servicing the appliance:
Pull the mains plug out of the mains socket. The appliance may only be repaired or ope-
ned by a specialist who is familiar with the risks involved and the relevant regulations.
All appliances connected must be disconnected from the mains before servicing or repairs (pull out mains
plug) can be carried out.
The appliance is maintenance free. For this reason, you should never open it. The guarantee is rendered
invalid by opening the appliance.
The insulation of the appliance can be reduced by dirt and dust. If the appliance is dirty, it must be dis-
connected (pull out mains plug) and cleaned. Insufficient insulation can cause a hazardous electric shock.
The outside of the appliance should only be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth or brush. Do not use any aggres-
sive cleaning agents or chemical solutions under any circumstances, since they could damage the housing
or impair operation.
Check the technical safety of the appliance regularly – for example, for signs of damage to the housing or
the mains cable.
If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible, then disconnect the device imme-
diately (pull out mains plug) and secure it against inadvertent operation.
It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
• There is visible damage to the device or to the power cable
• The appliance is no longer working or not working properly.
• The appliance has been stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time.
• The appliance has been subjected to excessive strain during transport.
• The appliance has come in contact with water, e.g. rain.
14. Disposal
Dispose of the product in accordance with the applicable statutory regulations after it has
become unusable.
