Initial operation

Important
The voltage of the power source must conform to the specifications printed on the
rating plate on the machine. Machines for 230 V can also be connected to a 220 V
power souce. The machine is double insulated and must not be earthed/grounded.

Test new grinding / cutting discs by running the tool for at least 30 seconds under
no load. If a disc vibrates, it should not be used.
Do not subject grinding / cutting discs to impacts. Do not allow discs to come into
contact with grease.

Electronic control

Starting current regulator
The starting current required by the machine is several times higher than the nomi-
nal current input.
The starting current regulator limits the current drawn by the machine when starting,
preventing the mains fuse from tripping. It also ensures that the machine starts
smoothly without a jolt.
Constant-speed electronics
The constant-speed electronic control system keeps the running speed almost con-
stant under load or no-load conditions. This permits materials to be ground or cut
optimally as a result of the constant disc speed.

Rotate the grinding disc firmly by hand in a clock-
wise direction as shown in the illustration. Con-
tinue rotating the grinding disc until the Kwik-
lock nut has been tightened firmly.
To release the disc: Release the Kwik-lock nut
by turning its knurled rim in a counter-clock-
wise direction. If the Kwik-lock clamping nut
cannot be released by hand, release it using the
pin wrench. Do not use a pipe wrench under any
circumstances!
Slide the ON/OFF switch (2) forwards.
Release the ON/OFF switch (2).

returns to the OFF position.
