1. INFORMATION ABOUT THESE
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
DUTY TO PROVIDE INSTRUCTION
These operating instructions will help you install and operate the
Protect B.500, Protect B.750, Protect B.1000, and Protect B.1500 –
jointly referred to in the remainder of this document as "Protect B" –
Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) safely, properly, and for its intended
purpose. These operating instructions contain important information
about preventing hazards. You must therefore read these
instructions carefully before carrying out initial commissioning.
THESE OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS ARE PART OF THE PROTECT B
The operator of this device must ensure that these operating instructions
are freely available to anyone transporting, commissioning, or carrying
out maintenance or any other work on the Protect B.
VALIDITY
These operating instructions are correct for the technical specifications of
the Protect B at the time of publication. The contents are not the subject
matter of the contract, but instead serve for information purposes only.

WARRANTY AND LIABILITY

AEG Power Solutions warrants that the products (incl. battery) shall be
free of defects for a period of 24 months from the date of purchase ("war-
ranty period"). The warranty period starts from the date of purchase, which
is to be proven by the customer through provision of the purchase invoice.
If the customer cannot provide the purchase invoice then the date of pur-
chase by the distributor shall serve as starting point for calculation of the
warranty period.
In the event of a defect AEG PS shall undertake to repair, or at its discre-
tion, replace any defective component. Repair or replace of defects does
not lead to any renewal or extension of the original warranty period. This
warranty does not apply to defects that occur as a result of or are caused
by improper handling and operation outside of the specification and condi-
tions as defined in the manual and product-related documentation. Fur-
thermore, warranty shall be excluded in case of defects or damages,
caused by a) non-authorized repair or modification attempts, b) wrong or
inadequate voltage, c) improper handling on-the-spot, d) force majeure, e)
in case of non-sufficient weather protection or in case of theft. In any
event, no warranty claims apply in case the serial number or the guarantee
seal at the product has been modified, concealed or completely removed.
