■ Carry out work steps „Removing the trigger" (see Chap. 10.4).
■ Unscrew and remove locking screw [13-1] using original SATA combi-
nation tool [13-2].
■ Pull off air micrometer [14-2].
■ Remove air piston spring [14-1] and air piston head [14-3].
■ Pull out air piston rod [14-4].
■ Unscrew and remove seal retainer [15-2] using SATA combination tool
(4 mm) [15-1].
■ After removal, check air piston rod; clean as necessary, or replace if
damaged (e.g. scratched or bent).
Attaching the new air micrometer, air piston and seal retainer
Danger!
Risk of injury from sudden component separation or escaping
material.
The air micrometer can shoot out of the paint spray gun accidentally.
→ When screwing in the locking screw, make sure the air micrometer is
lined up correctly.
→ Verify that the locking screw is firmly secured.
■ Screw in new seal retainer [15-2] using SATA combination tool (4 mm)
[15-1].
■ Lubricate new air piston rod [14-4] with SATA high performance grease
(Art. No. 48173) and insert. Make sure the direction of installation is
correct.
■ Insert new air piston spring [14-1] and new air piston head [14-3].
■ Lubricate new air micrometer [14-2] with SATA high performance
grease (Art. No. 48173) and insert. Make sure the direction of installa-
tion is correct.
■ Tighten locking screw [13-1] securely using original SATA combination
tool [13-2].
■ Carry out work steps „Attaching a new trigger" (see Chap. 10.4).
■ Carry out work steps „Attaching a new nozzle head" (see Chap. 10.2).
■ Carry out work steps „Attaching the new pre-nozzle, carbide nee-
dle tip and paint needle" and „Attaching a new material nozzle" (see
Chap. 10.1).
10.7. Replace spindle for round and flat fan control
Remove spindle
■ Screw off countersunk screw [16-1] using SATA combination tool.
