Use alkaline batteries to ensure the longest possible operating time.
A battery replacement is necessary if the display shows the "empty battery" sym-
bol
, if the display indication becomes weaker or if the transmitting power
decreases. With full batteries, the display shows the "full battery" symbol
Handling
Protect the device against humidity and dust. Never keep the devi-
ce in places which are exposed to high temperatures or direct sun-
light.
Switching the device On/Off
Press and hold the On/Off & Confirm key (7) for approx. 3 seconds. The device is
switched on and gives a beep tone. After being switched on, the device is in the
operating mode (PMR or radio mode) that has been last selected.
Press and hold the On/Off & Confirm key (7) for approx. 3 seconds during opera-
tion and the device is switched off.
PMR mode
Switch the device on. Select the PMR mode.
By a pressing briefly the PMR / Radio Commutator (8) you
can select the PMR mode or the radio mode.
You can talk to someone who disposes of a PMR walkie-talkie
as well. However, it has to be provided that the same channel
(1-8) and the same CTCSS channel (0-38) is selected on both walkie-talkies. The
setting procedures for volume, channel etc. are described under the topic "Setting
the Functions".
Briefly press the
CALL key (3)
to send a call tone. Press and hold the PTT(Talk)
key (4) to talk. The "T" symbol appears on the display. In order to change to the
receiving mode, release the
PTT key (4)
