(D) CTCSS Codes
Indication of the selected CTCSS codes. You can choose bet-
ween 38 CTCSS channels. If no indication occurs, the CTCSS
function is switched off.

Channel Indication
Indication of the selected channel. 8 channels are available.

Transmitting/ Receiving Indication
During reception, the display shows "R". During transmissi-
on, the display shows "T".
(G) Radio Symbol
This symbol appears when the device is switched to radio operation.
(H) Receiving Frequency
Indication of the adjusted radio receiving frequency.
Inserting/ Replacing the Batteries
Keep batteries out of reach of children.
Remove the batteries when you are not using the device for a
longer period of time.
Immediately remove the batteries from the device.
Do not leave batteries littered because children or pets might swallow them
down. In case of batteries being swallowed call for immediate medical care!
Do not short-circuit batteries and do not throw them into fire. They might
explode. Leaky or damaged batteries might cause cauterization when in
contact with the skin. Therefore, use suitable protective gloves.
• The battery compartment is on the back of the device.
• Turn the belt clip by 90° in counterclockwise direction.
• Release the battery compartment lock (14).
• Remove the battery compartment cover.
• Insert 4 alkaline micro batteries (AAA) with correct pola-
rity. The correct polarity is indicated by a mark in the
battery compartment. You can also use micro storage
batteries for operation, but the this reduces the opera-
ting time significantly.
• Close the battery compartment cover and turn the belt clip by 90°
in clockwise direction.
