Indicators
Barometer, Thermometer and Hygrometer
The sensors for the thermometer and the hygrometer are located inside the enclo-
sure and therefore display the values for the enclosure's inside.
In order to get accurate measurements, you should not hold the weather station in
your hands or put it in a case, instead let it lay in the open or hang it up by using
the snap link.
Furthermore, the weather station should not be exposed to direct sunlight.
The measurement display needs about 15 to 30 minutes to stabilise and to display
accurate values.
The measured data will be shown in the display continually.
The max/min values for the barometric pressure, temperature and relative humidity are saved in a data
memory and can be retrieved as follows:
• Keep pressing the key A, until the Barometer display mode appears.
• Press the key B, to retrieve the saved extreme values (MIN/MAX).
• The maximum and minimum value saved will be displayed in turn.

D1
After about 50 seconds, the display returns to the normal display mode.
• Press, and hold down, the key B to delete the extreme values (MIN/MAX).
Doing this deletes all the max/min values (barometer, thermometer and hygrometer).
Histogram Display
• After displaying the max/min values, press the key B again to switch to the
histogram display.
• This display shows the barometric pressure changes for the last 12 hours.
• The values from the data storage will be displayed both numerically in the
display field D1, and graphically in the display field D3.
• Press the key B again, or wait for about 50 seconds, to return to the normal
display mode.
• Press, and hold down, the key B to delete the saved values.
Trend Display
The trend display for barometric pressure, temperature and humidity is shown next to the correspon-
ding data display and it gives information about the trend for the respective value.

Weather Forecast
The weather forecast is calculated from the barometric pressure trend and gives a forecast for the next
8 hours. This is why it does not necessarily show the current meteorological conditions.
D2
The accuracy of such barometric pressure-based weather forecasts is about 70%.
Therefore, the weather forecast of the device cannot be used for professional pur-
poses or as a basis for applications where an accurate weather forecast is of vital
importance.
The meaning of the forecast symbols has already been explained in the chapter "Basic Settings".

Troubleshooting

In purchasing the outdoor weather station with snap lock, you have acquired a state of the art product
that is operationally reliable.
Nevertheless, problems or faults may occur.
Which is why we would like to describe here how to solve any problems:
Incorrect Temperature Readings:
• The measured data is influenced by direct sunlight, air conditioning, heaters or influenced by other
D4
devices that radiate heat or cold.
Display Contrast Fades, Incorrect Measurements are Displayed:
• The battery is flat. Please insert a new battery.
• The battery has poor contact. Please re-insert the battery.
Black Display:
D1
• The ambient temperature is too high or the display has been exposed to direct, bright sunlight for too
long.
The Display shows Incomprehensible Indications:
• The integrated microprocessor requires a reset. Please remove the battery and insert it again.
D1
The Display is Blank:
• The integrated microprocessor requires a reset. Please remove the battery and insert it again.
• The battery is flat. Please insert a new battery.
• The battery has poor contact. Please re-insert the battery.

Maintenance and Care

Apart from replacing the battery, the device is maintenance-free. Only clean the exterior of the device
with a soft, dry cloth or a small brush.
Never use caustic cleaning agents or chemical solutions as the surface of the case could be damaged.
Disposal
Please dispose of the device when it is no longer of use, according to the current statu-
tory requirements.
Disposal of used batteries/rechargeable batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all
used batteries/rechargeable batteries; disposal of them in the household
waste is prohibited.
Contaminated batteries/rechargeable batteries are labelled with these
symbols to indicate that disposal in domestic waste is forbidden. The sym-
bols for the relevant heavy metals are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb =
Lead. You can return used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge
to any collecting point of your local authority, to our stores or to any other
store where batteries/rechargeable batteries are sold.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
