Installing the Brushes

The installation of the brushes is described
in the chapter "Maintenance Tasks".
Installing the Vacuum Bar
 Insert the vacuum bar into the vacuum
bar suspension in such a manner that
the profiled sheet is positioned above
the suspension.
 Tighten the wing nuts.
 Insert the suction hose.

Operation

Danger
Risk of injury. Press on the foot pedal only
with one foot. The other foot must firmly be
placed on the floor. Press emergency-stop
switch to immediately switch off all func-
tions of the machine.
Warning!
Risk of damage. Raise the vacuum bar be-
fore reversing.
Note
The appliance is designed and built in such
a way that the brush head is projecting to-
wards the right. This enables working in a
comfortable way close to the edges.
 Release emergency-stop button by
turning.
 Insert key in key switch at the operator
console and turn to "1".
 Loosen the parking brake; for that press
the pedal downward and move it to the
left. Then let the pedal go upward.
 Drive the machine.
Forwards:
Press the driving lever to the front.
Backward:
Press the driving lever to the rear.
Note
The machine moves only when the driving
lever is moved by 15°.
Setting the working speed
Forwards:
 Turn the info button clockwise until
"CleanSpd Fwd=xxx%" is displayed.
Backward:
 Turn the info button clockwise until
"CleanSpd Rev=xxx%" is displayed.
Note
If the info button is not pressed for 10 seconds
the display toggles to the battery display.
 Shortly press the info button - display
blinks.
 Set the speed by turning the info button.
The value can be set in increments of
10% between 30% and 100%.

 Press the info button to confirm the set
value.
Fill up fresh water reservoir
Without filling system
 Open the cover of the dirt/fresh water
reservoir
 Fill fresh water (max. 60 °C) until 15 mm
below the upper edge of the tank.
 Close the cover of the dirt/fresh water
reservoir
Note
Fill up the fresh water tank completely be-
fore starting up the machine to ventilate the
water supply system.
Filling system (optional)
 Connect the water hose to the connec-
tion neck on the filling system.
 Open the water supply.
Once the maximum fill level is reached,
the built-in floater valve will stop the wa-
ter inflow.
 Shut off water supply.
 Remove the water hose.
Add/ proportion detergent
Detergent
Warning
Risk of damage. Only use the recommend-
ed detergents. With respect to different de-
tergents the operator bears the increased
risk regarding the operational safety and
danger of accident. Only use detergents
that are free from solvents, hydrochloric
acid and hydrofluoric acid.
Note
Do not use highly foaming detergents. Ob-
serve the dosing notes.

Routine cleaning of glossy
surfaces (e.g. granite)
Routine cleaning and basic
cleaning of industrial floors
Routine cleaning and basic
cleaning of fine stoneware
tiles
Routine cleaning of tiles in
sanitary areas
Cleaning and disinfection in
sanitary areas
Removal of coating from all
alkali-resistant floors (e.g.
PVC)
Removal of coating from li-
noleum floors
Detergents are available in specialised
stores.

Add detergent bottle (Model without
Dose)
Note
If detergent is added to the cleaning deter-
gent tank first, followed by water, there
could be a lot of foam.
 Open the cover of the dirt/fresh water
reservoir
 Add the detergent to the fresh water
reservoir.
 Close the cover of the dirt/fresh water
reservoir
Proportion the detergent bottle (Dose
model)
Detergent is added to the fresh water on
the way to the cleaning head with the help
of a dosaging device.
Note
The metering device can be used to add
3% of detergent at maximum. In case of a
higher dose the detergent must be poured
into the fresh water tank.
Warning
Danger of plug-up by dried detergent when
the detergent is added to a fresh water tank
made by Dose. The flow meter of the dos-
ing equipment can stick on account of dry-
ing detergent and hamper the functioning
of the dosing equipment. Always rinse at
the end the fresh water tank and the appli-
ance with clear water. To rinse, open the
regulating knob fully, set the detergent me-
tering setting to 0% and set the cleaning
program with water at the programme se-
lection switch.
 Place the bottle with the detergent in
the holder behind the operator console.
 Close the bottle lid.
 Insert the suction hose of the dosing
equipment into the bottle and screw on
Detergent
the lid.

Note

If the fresh water tank is empty, then the
RM 755 es
function of adding detergent gets deactivat-
ed. The cleaning head continues to work
without the addition of any liquid. Detergent
RM 69 ASF
addition is also stopped when the detergent
can is empty.

Adjusting the proportion of detergent
(Dose model)
 Turn the info button clockwise until "RM
RM 751
- Dosierung" or "RM - Dosing" is dis-
played.
RM 732
 Shortly press the info button - display
blinks.
RM 752
 Adjust the detergent dose by turning the
info button (0.5% to 3%).
 Press the info button to confirm the set
RM 754
value.
Note
If no water is to be added to the detergent,
then the dosing must be set to 0%.
