Service and clean the appliance regularly.
Adapt your working style to suit the appliance.
Do not overload the appliance.
Have the appliance serviced whenever neces-
sary.
Switch the appliance off when it is not in use.
Wear protective gloves.
X. Storage/Transport
Store the equipment and accessories out of children's
reach in a dark and dry place at above freezing tem-
perature. The ideal storage temperature is between 5
and 30 °C. Store the electric tool in its original pack-
aging.
When putting cutting wheels in storage, be care-
ful to:
• Clean and dry them well. CAUTION: Do NOT clean
synthetic resin cutting wheels with water or other
fluids!
• Store them lying down flat.
• Avoid dampness, freezing temperatures, direct
sunshine, high temperatures and temperature fluc-
tuations, as these can cause breakage and splin-
tering.
• Before re-using a resin cutting disc, make sure
of the use-by (expiration) date (quarter and year,
stamped on the arbor ring). If this date has been
exceeded, do NOT use the cutting .
• Always check new cutting wheels or cutting
wheels that have been in storage to make sure
that they are free of defects and before the first
cut test-run the tool at top speed for at least 60 sec-
onds. Keep body parts and people well away out of
range of the direction of the cutting wheel during
this test.
TRANSPORT (SEE FIG. 1/7)
Transport Lock:
Head lock pin (8) will facilitate easier handling at
transport to various places of use .
Attention! Pull out the mains plug
Use the handle (10) for transport of the machine.
Machine lock (transport lock)
To transport the machine, place the machine head
down and push the head lock pin (8).
Unlock the machine (working position)
Push the machine head (9) downwards to release the
transport lock. Pull the head lock pin (8) out and con-
duct the machine head upwards slowly.
XI. Electrical connection
The electrical motor installed is connected and
ready for operation. The connection complies
with the applicable VDE and DIN provisions.

m Attention!
The power supply cord of this machine has an
equipment-grounding conductor and a ground-
ing plug. The plug must be plugged into an ap-
propriate outlet which is properly installed and
grounded in accordance with all local codes and
ordinances.
m Warning!
Check the voltage! The voltage must comply with
the information on the rating label!
The customers' mains connection as well as the
extension cable used must also comply with
these regulations.
Damaged electrical connection cable
The insulation on electrical connection cables is of-
ten damaged.
This may have the following causes:
Passage points, where connection cables are
passed through windows or doors.
Kinks where the connection cable has been im-
properly fastened or routed.
Places where the connection cables have been
cut due to being driven over.
Insulation damage due to being ripped out of the
wall outlet.
Cracks due to the insulation ageing.
Such damaged electrical connection cables must not
be used and are life-threatening due to the insulation
damage.
Check the electrical connection cables for damage
regularly. Make sure that the connection cable does
not hang on the power network during the inspection.
Electrical connection cables must comply with the
applicable VDE and DIN provisions. Only use con-
nection cables with the marking "V-90/5V-90 3 x 1.00
mm
".

The printing of the type designation on the connec-
tion cable is mandatory.
